Peugeot Scooters in America (USA)
Back in 2000 to 2004 there was a distributor by the name Cycle World Inc., based in West Palm Beach Florida, that imported Peugeot Speedfight2, X-Race and X-Race2, WRC 206 Speedfight, Looxor, Elystar, Elyseo, VivaCity, Trekker, Metal-X anc ScootElec into the United States of America.
Between 2000 to 2004 Cycle World Inc. managed to setup 206 dealers in every state and sold around 5'900 scooters. Mid 2004 and due to new regulations like 4-stroke 50cc laws, the ongoing anti-French attitude by consumers and dealers in regards to the illegal war against Iraq, Cycle World decided to call it quits and stop distributing the scooters.
This website is a tribute to all Peugeot Scooter fans out there and besides pictures and useful documentations now made available to the public, it should help current Peugeot Scooter owners to find parts and repair information. There are still many of these Peugeot scooters on American roads and as of 2010, Peugeot Scooters are officially sold in Canada. If you need parts visit the "important link" page.
